The statement also mentioned that more than 820 people were injured and 83 people were missing due to the disasters caused by the typhoons. It was reported that after the flood in Nu village, located in the Lao Cai province in the north of the country, all the houses in the village were submerged, and rescue teams continue to search for the missing villagers.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) reported that many children in Vietnam have lost their homes due to Typhoon Yagi and lack access to clean water and health services. The statement indicated that approximately 2 million children are deprived of education, psychosocial support, and school feeding programs due to damaged schools, power outages, and water shortages. UNICEF estimates that an initial amount of $15 million is needed to meet the critical needs of the affected children and their families.
