In the 'right of way' fight in the Kızıltepe district of Mardin where two people lost their lives, Vejdi Kılınç, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital where he was being treated. Thus, the number of fatalities in the incident rose to 3.
The incident occurred on May 28 in the rural Ilıcak neighborhood of Kızıltepe district, on the Nusaybin highway. A dispute between two families over a "right of way" issue quickly turned into a fight involving guns, stones, and sticks. Nine people were injured in the fight.
SEVERELY INJURED VEJDI KLINÇ ALSO DIED IN THE HOSPITAL
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals after initial intervention by medical teams. Among the injured, Abdullah Kılınç and Doğan Baday lost their lives, while six people were discharged after treatment. Vejdi Kılınç, who was referred to Diyarbakır Dicle University Medical Faculty Hospital as severely injured, also died.
5 PEOPLE ARRESTED
In the 'right of way' fight in Kızıltepe district of Mardin, where Abdullah Kılınç, Doğan Baday, and Vejdi Kılınç died and six people were injured, the number of detentions reached 29. After processing, 15 of the suspects sent to the courthouse were released by the prosecutor's office, and five people were arrested.
