A foreign-origin unmanned maritime vehicle found by a fishing boat off the coast of Çarşıbaşı district in Trabzon has begun to be destroyed in a controlled manner. It was reported that the vehicle, which is said to be loaded with 300 kilograms of explosives, has also prompted the arrival of a signal jammer to the area.

The object found by a fishing boat off the coast of Trabzon's Çarşıbaşı district the previous night and subsequently brought to the Yoroz port for examination has been identified as a foreign-made unmanned underwater vehicle.

DESTRUCTION WORKS HAVE BEGUN

As a result of the examinations conducted by the Underwater Operations and Rescue Command (SAT) personnel and other expert teams, destruction efforts for the unmanned underwater vehicle began with the first light of dawn.

A SIGNAL JAMMER HAS ALSO BEEN BROUGHT

While the unmanned underwater vehicle, reported to be loaded with 300 kilograms of explosives, was covered with a tarpaulin, security measures were also taken in the surrounding area. It was also observed that the teams brought a jammer to the area as a signal blocker.
