The National Security Council meeting chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan lasted approximately 3 hours. Following the meeting, an 8-item statement was released. The statement emphasized that Turkey will continue to contribute to any positive steps taken towards establishing a just and lasting peace in order to stop the genocide in Gaza and hold those responsible accountable.

"THERE WILL BE NO TOLERANCE FOR EXPANSIONISM ON THE BASIS OF TERRORISM"

"1. Information was presented to the Council regarding the activities carried out with determination, decisiveness, and success against all kinds of threats and dangers to our national unity and integrity, primarily the terrorist organizations PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG, FETÖ, and ISIS, both domestically and abroad, as well as recent international developments.

2. The progress made towards a "terror-free Turkey," with contributions from activities under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, has been evaluated; the strong will to completely demolish the wall of terror in front of our nation's future and to ensure a climate of peace, prosperity, and security has been reaffirmed.

Subsequently, it has been emphasized that within the process to be reinforced with the goal of a "terror-free region," there will be no room for any manifestation of terrorism in our neighboring geography, and there will be no tolerance for expansionism based on terrorism.

SUPPORT FOR THE STRUGGLE FOR THE UNITY OF SYRIA AND IRAQ

3. The actors and issues threatening the territorial integrity, unity, and sovereignty of Syria, as well as the security, stability, and prosperity of Iraq, have been evaluated; it has been underscored that our support for the struggle against efforts to drag our neighbors into regional conflicts will continue to increase.

4. Attention has been drawn to the unlawful policies of the Israeli Administration that have led to humanitarian disaster and deaths from hunger in Gaza; it has been stated that stopping the genocide and holding the perpetrators accountable has become a shared responsibility of all humanity, calling on the international community to act urgently and to materialize the will displayed within the United Nations; it has been expressed that Turkey will continue to contribute to every positive step taken towards establishing a just and lasting peace.

5. In our national cause regarding the Cyprus issue, our support for the two-state solution model based on the recognition of the sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriots has been emphasized, and it has been recorded that our country will maintain its resolute stance against any steps that could negatively affect the peace environment on the Island.

"TURKEY IS READY TO TAKE ON MORE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ESTABLISHING PEACE IN THE RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR"

6. The current situation regarding the Russia-Ukraine War has been evaluated; concerns have been expressed regarding events indicating the risk of the war spreading, and it has been stated that Turkey is ready to take on more responsibility for establishing peace.

7. The normalization process with Armenia has been discussed; the importance of a transportation line that will yield results beneficial to all countries in the region by enabling unobstructed transportation between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan has been emphasized, along with our determination towards establishing lasting peace.

8. Recent developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina have been addressed; our support for the country's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional order has been reaffirmed."
