In a written statement from the Bursa Water and Sewerage Administration (BUSKİ), a subsidiary of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, it was noted that planned water cuts would be applied at certain times in the districts of Osmangazi, Yıldırım, Nilüfer, Mudanya, Gürsu, and Kestel between October 1-10.

In a statement made on BUSKİ's social media account, the following was stated: "Due to the drought resulting from climate change caused by global warming, the decrease in water resources and the drop in dam filling rates to critical levels have necessitated the need for planned water cuts. These planned water cuts will be implemented in a rotating manner in neighborhoods connected to the central districts, not exceeding 12 hours a day. Uludağ University, the City Hospital, and State Hospitals will not be affected by the planned water cuts."
