5 THOUSAND LIRA SUPPORT EVERY MONTH

The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, answered journalists' questions regarding birth assistance during her visit to the Parliament as part of the "on-duty minister" application. Minister Göktaş announced that they will start making support payments to mothers' accounts immediately after the evaluation process of the applications made within the scope of the birth assistance implemented in the Family Year. Göktaş stated that they have started receiving applications for birth assistance through e-Government, following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's declaration of 2025 as the "Year of Family." "As of January 1, 2025, we are talking about a monthly or one-time support program for every child born. If a family's first baby is born in 2025, we will provide a one-time support of 5,000 TL. If the second baby is born this year, we will provide a monthly support of 1,500 TL to the mother's account. For each child from the third one onwards, we will also provide a support of 5,000 TL," she stated.

"EVERY TURKISH CITIZEN CAN BENEFIT FROM THE ASSISTANCE"

Minister Göktaş said, "Our citizens who have difficulties in applying through e-Government can get support from our Alo 144 call center and provincial directorates." She emphasized that there are no specific criteria and that every Turkish citizen can benefit from this assistance, stating, "There is a very high demand from families. In the upcoming period, we will continue to share our other good news within the scope of the 'Year of Family' with the public." Göktaş reiterated that this support will continue until the child turns 5 years old, saying, "We will start making payments of our support to the accounts of our mothers immediately after the evaluation process."
