In Şişli, Istanbul, 34-year-old Bahar Aksu was shot and killed in the middle of the street while resisting an abduction attempt by her ex-husband and three other individuals. It was learned that Bahar Aksu and Rüstem Elibol got married in 2019 and divorced in 2022. It was also revealed that there were two separate reports filed against Elibol for threats and intentional injury.

The details of the incident in which 34-year-old Bahar Aksu was shot and killed while resisting an attempt to be kidnapped by her ex-husband and his companions in Şişli have emerged.

THEY TRIED TO FORCE HER INTO A VEHICLE

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred around 07:00 on Kazım Orbay Street in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Şişli, where 34-year-old Bahar Aksu was forcibly attempted to be put into a vehicle by her ex-husband Rüstem Elibol (37) and a person named S.S. as she arrived at the hotel where she worked as a kitchen assistant.

THE PERPETRATORS WERE CAPTURED ONE BY ONE

As Aksu was being attempted to be kidnapped, she screamed for help. The resisting young woman was shot and killed by Elibol. While Aksu's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution's morgue, efforts were initiated to capture her ex-husband and the accomplices who shot and killed Aksu. Rüstem Elibol, along with the weapon he used in the incident, was captured in Eyüpsultan; the other three suspects were apprehended by police teams in Silivri.

DETAILS OF THE INCIDENT HAVE EMERGED

It was learned that Bahar Aksu and Rüstem Elibol got married in 2019 and divorced in 2022. It was determined that the couple did not have any children, and that Bahar Aksu had made two separate applications against Elibol for threats and intentional injury in 2020, with no ongoing restraining orders between them. It was reported that the procedures for the four suspects brought to the Gayrettepe Public Security Branch Directorate were ongoing.
