Muzaffer Sirin, known as "Sebahattin Sirin" in public and recognized as the tribune leader of the Galatasaray fan group ultrAslan, was detained within the scope of an investigation into illegal betting and sports crimes. After the completion of his procedures at the police station, he was referred to the courthouse. While being brought to the courthouse, Sirin made a "victory" sign and carried out a protest saying "Freedom for Mr. Ocalan."
The procedures at the police station for Sebahattin (Muzaffer) Sirin, the leader of the Galatasaray fan group ultrAslan, who was detained as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, have been completed.
Sirin, who was detained within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Department for Investigation of Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes, was referred to the courthouse after his procedures.
OCALAN PROTEST
After his health check, Sirin was brought to the Istanbul Justice Palace in Caglayan, and upon arrival, he made a "victory" sign and staged a protest by shouting "Freedom for Mr. Ocalan."
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Department for Investigation of Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes launched an investigation against Muzaffer Sirin, known as "ultrAslan fan group leader Sebahattin Sirin," due to his posts.
Within the scope of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Sirin on charges of "prohibited acts in sports areas and crimes related to sports competitions" as regulated in Articles 14 and 15 of Law No. 6222, as well as "using or possessing drugs or stimulants," "publicly spreading misleading information," and "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes."
Following the decision, police teams detained Sirin. After his procedures at the police station were completed and his health check was done, Sirin was brought to the Istanbul Justice Palace.
