In a mosque courtyard in Eskişehir, a minibus parked suddenly caught fire, but four children inside were rescued at the last moment by the congregation, preventing a disaster. It was surprising when a woman who arrived at the scene cried out in despair over the vehicle being burned to ashes instead of expressing relief that the children were saved. An investigation has been launched regarding the fire.
In the Fevziçakmak neighborhood of the Tepebaşı district in Eskişehir, a minibus containing young children named G.T., S.T., C.T., and A.T. caught fire suddenly after the driver H.T. left the vehicle. The minibus, which was both burning and moving towards the garden, was able to stop after crashing into the mosque's stairs.
THE MOSQUE CONGREGATION SAVED THE CHILDREN FROM BURNING
The mosque congregation mobilized quickly to save the children trapped in the vehicle, which had turned into a fireball in a short time. The children G.T., S.T., C.T., and A.T. were rescued from the flames, suffering from partial burns on their bodies. Upon notification, numerous 112 Emergency Health and fire teams were dispatched to the scene. While the teams brought the fire under control, the vehicle and the mosque's elevator became unusable. The children, who were unable to recover from the shock of the incident, were taken to the hospital after receiving initial treatment on their feet. Thanks to the intervention of the congregation, 4 children, including 1 boy, were saved from burning at the last moment, and the disaster was narrowly averted.
INSTEAD OF CELEBRATING THE CHILDREN'S RESCUE, SHE CRIED OVER THE VEHICLE'S ASHES
On the other hand, a woman who arrived at the scene surprised everyone by crying over the vehicle's ashes instead of celebrating the children's rescue. An investigation has been launched regarding the fire.
"MY LORD HELPED IN THE MONTH OF RAMADAN"
A citizen named Yılmaz Dedeler said, "He leaves his vehicle in the middle while the children are lying inside. A gas leak starts in the vehicle, and then it catches fire. Once it catches fire, the car starts moving forward on its own and crashes into the mosque. Everyone from the mosque helped, and we saved 4 children. My Lord helped in the month of Ramadan. Two of the children have some burns, while the other two are in better health. They are small children around 4-5 years old."
"I TOOK ONE OF THE CHILDREN, THE CRYING CONTINUED"
Bayram Yurdakul, a member of the mosque congregation who pulled 3 children out of the vehicle with his hands, said, "We saw smoke coming from the minibus. We ran over there, and one of the friends had rescued the child sitting in the driver's seat. We looked inside the minibus to see if there were any other children. I opened the sliding door of the minibus and heard a crying sound. I took one of the children, and the crying continued. When I took the second child, the crying still continued. The third child had a blanket on him that was about to catch fire; I took him out, and my hands got a little burned. After taking the third child, the crying stopped. After that, the minibus went on its own and crashed into the mosque," he said.
