Within the scope of the gradual exit process from the Eşel Mobil system, on Sunday, November 1, along with an increase in Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) and VAT (KDV), a 4 lira 15 kuruş increase in gasoline and a 3 lira 60 kuruş increase in diesel are expected.
Under the gradual exit plan from the Eşel mobile system, a new increase in fuel prices due to Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) will be reflected as of Sunday, November 1. With the addition of the 20% VAT increase, an increase of 4 lira 15 kuruş per liter of gasoline and 3 lira 60 kuruş per liter of diesel is expected.
EŞEL MOBILE SYSTEM IS BEING PHASED OUT
The Eşel mobile application, launched in March to limit the reflection of global fluctuations and exchange rate movements on consumers, has come to an end. With the completion of the ÖTV support, which has been gradually reduced in line with presidential decisions, tax rates are being brought back to their previous levels.
STEP-BY-STEP TAX INCREASE IN GASOLINE AND DIESEL
According to the schedule published in the Official Gazette, the ÖTV increases on fuel proceed as follows:
- Gasoline: The per-liter ÖTV amount, raised to 7 lira 90 kuruş on October 1, will rise to 11 lira 36 kuruş as of November 1. Including 20% VAT, the gasoline price will increase by 4 lira 15 kuruş. At the final stage for gasoline, on December 1, ÖTV will reach 14 lira 82 kuruş, and another increase of 4 lira 15 kuruş including VAT will be reflected at the pumps.
- Diesel: After the increases in September and October, the per-liter ÖTV amount for diesel will rise to 9 lira on November 1. With the VAT effect, diesel will increase by 3 lira 60 kuruş. The ÖTV amount for diesel will be applied as 12 lira on December 1 and, as of January 1, 2027, at 13 lira 90 kuruş, the level before the Eşel mobile system.
WHEN WILL THE INCREASE BE REFLECTED AT THE PUMPS?
Sector sources who assessed the matter for ANKA drew attention to the schedule for reflecting the ÖTV increase, which falls on Sunday, November 1, at the pumps due to markets being closed at the weekend. Noting that price changes calculated on Fridays have so far been reflected in sales prices at the beginning of the week, the sources stated that it will become clear in the coming days whether the increases will take effect on Sunday or as of the beginning of the week.
