Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç met with the workers who were dismissed by Amasya Municipality. Minister Tunç spoke with the workers who were laid off by Amasya Municipality this week at the AK Party Amasya 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress. Speaking with the workers who opened a banner reading "There is a massacre of workers in the CHP municipality, keep your word, president" at the congress held at the Amasya Sports Hall, Tunç received information about the legal process. Tunç stated that they would follow the process regarding the dismissal of 36 personnel working at Amasya Municipality, expressing that they have always stood by the workers. Selen Uysal, one of the workers dismissed by the municipality, told reporters that they were unfairly and unlawfully fired. Uysal indicated that they wanted to return to their jobs, saying, "Until three days ago, I was a municipal employee. It is not a coincidence that all 36 of us are from the right-wing party. There are those who support a family, and those who have newborn children. I am a person who supports a family on my own. I want this issue to be viewed not politically, but as a matter of humanity and conscience. I do not think it is a humane act to work until noon and then be dismissed in the afternoon. We want our bread and our jobs back." she stated. Another worker, Ayşe Nur, emphasized that they were in a very difficult situation during the winter, saying, "I have been working at the municipality for over 5 years. We started working during the MHP period. When the CHP came, they directly fired us. We were dismissed as if we were handpicked. We do not want them to deceive us with compensation." she expressed.
