Uysal indicated that they wanted to return to their jobs, saying, "Until three days ago, I was a municipal employee. It is not a coincidence that all 36 of us are from the right-wing party. There are those who support a family, and those who have newborn children. I am a person who supports a family on my own. I want this issue to be viewed not politically, but as a matter of humanity and conscience. I do not think it is a humane act to work until noon and then be dismissed in the afternoon. We want our bread and our jobs back." she stated.

Another worker, Ayşe Nur, emphasized that they were in a very difficult situation during the winter, saying, "I have been working at the municipality for over 5 years. We started working during the MHP period. When the CHP came, they directly fired us. We were dismissed as if we were handpicked. We do not want them to deceive us with compensation." she expressed.
