A 9-year-old child was seriously injured in the Besni district of Adıyaman after being attacked by stray dogs. The child was taken to the hospital with deep wounds on his face and body. While the condition of the injured child remains serious, it has been revealed that the attacking dog was rabid.

A street dog that attacked and seriously injured a 9-year-old child in Adıyaman has been found to be rabid.

EMERGENCY SURGERY PERFORMED

The incident occurred in the village of Toklu, located in the Besni district. According to reports, 9-year-old A.U. was attacked by stray street dogs while returning home from school. The young child was rescued from the dog attack by the intervention of nearby citizens and was taken to Besni State Hospital. After the initial intervention performed there, A.U. (9) was taken into emergency surgery.

THE DOG WAS RABID

Doctors stated that the child's condition remains serious, and it was revealed that the attacking dog was also rabid. Village residents expressed that stray dogs pose a danger in the area and called for a solution from the authorities.
