In Adana, 14-year-old Ecrin Deniz Karaca, who was seriously injured after falling from the 12th floor on June 4th, realized her dream after completing her treatment. Ecrin, who cut a cake and distributed toys at the site of her fall with her friends and children in need, also met with Melek Alibek, whom she saw in her dream while in intensive care. Her father, Hakan Harput Karaca, described her recovery as a 'miracle,' while Ecrin said she would continue doing good deeds.
Treatment for Ecrin Deniz Karaca (14), who survived a fall from the 12th floor of an apartment building in Adana, has been completed. During her time in the hospital, Ecrin, who wanted to cut a cake with children in need and distribute toys to them, fulfilled her dream after recovering. Karaca said, "I am very lucky to have witnessed this moment."
SHE LOST HER BALANCE WHILE GOING TO THE WINDOW TO WATCH HER SIBLING
The incident occurred on June 4 in the Dadaloğlu neighborhood of Yüreğir district. Ecrin Deniz Karaca, an 8th-grade student, went to the window in the stairwell on the 12th floor of the apartment to watch her sibling playing in the garden of their housing complex. Losing her balance, Karaca first fell onto the balcony and then onto the concrete ground. Karaca, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance dispatched to the area upon notification, suffered fractures and cracks in her leg. After undergoing various surgeries, Karaca regained her health following her treatment. The moment of Karaca's fall was also captured on the complex's security camera.
SHE HAD DESCRIBED HER DREAM WITH THESE WORDS
During her treatment at the hospital, Karaca said, "My priority is to serve cake to children living in shantytown neighborhoods and to distribute toys to children living in areas where agricultural workers stay in tents. Also, I want to set up a large table at the place where I fell. I want to eat there with all those in need and those who witnessed the incident, and distribute toys to children."
SHE CAME TOGETHER WITH THE 'ANGEL' SHE SAW IN HER DREAM
About 4 months after the incident, Ecrin Deniz Karaca, who regained her health, had a cake made to fulfill her dream. At the place where she fell, Karaca cut the cake with her friends and children in need, sharing her happiness. During her intensive care treatment, Ecrin had the girl Melek Alibek (5), whom she had previously taken aid supplies to with her father and saw in her dream, brought to the event. Ecrin hugged and kissed the girl she met. In the emotional meeting, Ecrin Deniz Karaca said, "I saw Melek in my dream at the hospital. I saw her hugging me at the exact spot where I fell while she was wearing this outfit. I am very happy that she is also here."
"I WILL CONTINUE TO DO GOOD DEEDS"
Expressing that she was very happy to have fulfilled her dream, Karaca said, "While I was lying in the hospital, I dreamed of recovering and cutting a cake here with my friends and children in need. I am very happy to be here and to witness this moment. From now on, I will continue to help people in need with my father. I have overcome my illness; I am currently in the final stage of my physical therapy. School will open, and I will be reunited with my friends. I miss them all. I am counting the days to get together."
"MY DAUGHTER BECAME THE NAME OF A MIRACLE"
Hakan Harput Karaca, president of the El Ele İyilik Kanatları Association and Ecrin's father, said, "Being able to see these days is a huge miracle for us. When we asked Ecrin in intensive care, 'What do you want to do?' she said, 'I want to set up a table at the place where I fell and cut a cake with the children.' We dreamed of these days happening, and we finally made it happen. We once again understood the importance of charity in my daughter's survival. My daughter became the name of a miracle; we received the reward of charity and goodness. When we opened the charity association, some reacted. There were those who asked, 'What do you get out of it?' What I got was my daughter's health."
"THE BEST EXAMPLE OF WITNESSING A MIRACLE"
Ecrin's mother, Ünzile Karaca, also said, "We are very happy that my daughter has regained her health; she has made us happy like every parent. We will do whatever is necessary for our child's health. My daughter has become the best answer to the question, 'Have you witnessed a miracle?' I believe my daughter is standing thanks to the importance of goodness. We always supported orphans and those in need, and we will continue to do so from today onward."
