Following the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, a striking claim has been made regarding the aid collected from citizens in Eskişehir. Volkan Enver Kılıç, the current Provincial Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in Eskişehir, who alleges that the money collected during the tenure of Talat Yalaz, the then CHP Provincial Chairman and now the chairman of the new party, was not sent to the earthquake zone, announced that they have informed the police about the matter and initiated legal proceedings.
The earthquake aid dispute extending from CHP to the New Party has stirred up Eskişehir politics. Following the statement by the current CHP Provincial Chairman Volkan Enver Kılıç, attention has turned to the fate of the money reportedly collected from citizens during the earthquake period.
"WE DETERMINED IT DID NOT GO TO THE EARTHQUAKE REGION" Talat Yalaz, who served as the CHP Eskişehir Provincial Chairman during the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, later left CHP and became the New Party Eskişehir Provincial Chairman. After Yalaz previously stated, "We collected a modest amount," the current CHP Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Volkan Enver Kılıç made a striking claim.
Kılıç said, "We have taken the necessary legal steps on this matter and provided information to the police. Such money was collected, but we have determined that it did not go to the earthquake region and where it went. We have initiated the legal process against them. We will continue this process, and we will also look into it. We are following it as well. If there is any misconduct, I have full faith that it will be resolved through the judiciary."
New Party Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Talat Yalaz DID NOT DISCLOSE THE AMOUNT OF COLLECTED MONEY Kılıç was also asked about the amount of money reportedly collected during the earthquake period. The CHP Provincial Chairman stated they have the relevant information but did not provide a figure. Kılıç said, "We have all the information about it. He also has his own live broadcast and his own statement on a television channel or news channel saying, 'We collected a modest amount, we will send it.' As I said, we are following the process regarding this, and we will continue to be followers of it."

He emphasized that they will be followers of the process regarding the money reportedly collected separately for the earthquake.
AK Party Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Gürhan Albayrak AK PARTY'S "REVEAL THE DOCUMENTS" RESPONSE AK Party Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Gürhan Albayrak also joined the debate. Albayrak stated that the amount of money collected and where it was sent should be explained with documents. Albayrak said, "The new Provincial Chairman should stand up, reveal the documents at this point, disclose the amount of money they collected, and truly share with the public where they sent this money, and speak with documents."
"THIS MATTER WILL DEFINITELY HAVE A JUDICIAL ASPECT" Albayrak, noting that the issue could take on a legal dimension, said, "This matter will probably definitely have a judicial aspect. It is likely being followed by some of our institutions in those processes. But we would like to state that we will closely follow this issue and will repeatedly share it with the public through statements and shed light on it."
According to the statement of the current CHP Provincial Chairman Kılıç, the police were informed and a legal process was initiated. However, there is still no finalized result announced by judicial authorities regarding the amount and fate of the collected money.
