The Epstein files contain email correspondence and meetings with UAE diplomat Hind Al-Owais that took place between 2011 and 2012, while the documents highlighted Al-Owais's statements expressing a desire to introduce Epstein to her sister, as well as Epstein's remarks that "it could be useful for your future work" and "I want to spend more time with both of you"; years after these interactions, Al-Owais's appointment to a senior position at the UN raised questions.

New documents in the Jeffrey Epstein files have brought renewed attention to contacts with a diplomat from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the files, there were intense email exchanges and face-to-face meetings between Hind Al-Owais and Epstein during 2011-2012.

"I WANT MY SISTER TO MEET YOU"

One of the emails in the documents shows Al-Owais telling Epstein, "Are you in town?? My sister is here and I have talked a lot about you to her… I want her to meet you… Let me know when you will come!!!!!" In a message sent to Al-Owais in October 2011, Epstein mentioned, "Someone I think could be helpful for your future work is at my home today."

"I WANT TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH BOTH OF YOU"

Records from January 2012 indicate a planned meeting with Hind Al-Owais and her sister. The same records also show Epstein stating, "I want to spend more time with both of you." These correspondences and meeting notes provide a new picture of the scope of Epstein's personal and professional relationships with individuals from different countries.

APPOINTED AS SENIOR ADVISOR

About four years after these contacts, in September 2015, Hind Al-Owais was appointed as a Senior Advisor at the United Nations representing the UAE. There is no clear statement in the files indicating that Epstein was directly involved in this appointment or guided the process. However, the intensity of the contacts, the timing, and the subsequent career advancement raised questions in the international public opinion.

Hind Al-Owais currently serves as the Director of the UAE Permanent Human Rights Committee. The correspondences that emerged in the Epstein files have reignited discussions about the influence of Epstein's relationships in the realms of diplomacy, politics, and international institutions.
