As part of the operations, it was learned that a 55-year-old individual named E.Ş., who had a finalized prison sentence of 18 years and 9 months for the crime of "manufacturing and trafficking drugs or stimulants," obtained fake identity and passport to avoid capture, wore a wig, and was planning to come to Sakarya from Istanbul armed with two others to create a family appearance.
FAKE IDENTITY, PASSPORT, UNLICENSED PISTOL, AND OPIUM GUM
The individual E.Ş., along with 29-year-old O.B. and 49-year-old S.Ş., was caught. During searches of the vehicle the suspects were in and on their persons, 46 grams of opium gum, a fake identity card and fake passport issued in Iran with the photo of the suspect E.Ş., a wig, an unlicensed pistol, 17 cartridges, and 44,445 TL believed to be used in drug trafficking were seized.
SUSPECT IN TWO DIFFERENT CASES
Moreover, it was determined that E.Ş. was also a suspect in the incidents where a total of 869 grams of methamphetamine were sent to Sakarya in two different drug shipments organized from Istanbul on May 13, 2024, and March 9, 2025. It was noted that three individuals had previously been arrested in connection with these two incidents.
