Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş shared the points with a 1-1 draw in the 5th week of the Trendyol Super League. After the thrilling match, there was a dispute between the two teams regarding the referee.

ERTUĞRUL DOĞAN: THE ONLY MISSING THING FOR THE REFEREE WAS THE BEŞİKTAŞ JERSEY

Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan strongly criticized the performance of referee Ali Şansalan after the match. Doğan's words about Şansalan are as follows;

"We played almost 10 men for nearly 90 minutes. The red card was a fair decision. VAR should have intervened. But for some reason, VAR did not intervene in positions that could have been in our favor. The referee used all his discretion in favor of Beşiktaş. It's hard to understand. Such a thing happened here for the first time in a long time. All the discretion rights were used in favor of the opponent in our own home, very interesting. We have serious problems as Trabzonspor, and I will talk to the President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF). Beşiktaş Football Branch Manager Feyyaz Uçar responded to Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul. Uçar said, "We wonder when the kicks to Rafa Silva will end. A red card is not a solution.
