In Mardin, Mehmet Kaya, his wife Berna Kaya, and their 5-year-old child Samyeli Kaya were found shot in the head at their home. The incident has shaken the city, while the initial examination by the teams at the scene indicated that there was no forced entry at the door. Meanwhile, a neighbor of Mehmet Kaya stated, "He was a quiet person. He was a tradesman and worked as a repairman. It happened between 01:00 and 02:00 last night. We have no other information."

In the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, Mehmet Kaya, his wife Berna Kaya, and their 5-year-old child Samyeli Kaya were found dead at their home, shot in the head.

Neighbors who had not heard from the family, living in an apartment in Turgut Özal Neighborhood, entered the house with the neighborhood muhtar (headman) last night. Upon finding Mehmet K. (37), his wife Berna K. (33), and their 5-year-old daughter Samyeli K. shot in the head, the muhtar and neighbors reported the situation to the authorities. Following this, emergency medical services, police, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene.

IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THEY LOST THEIR LIVES

Health teams confirmed that the couple and their child had lost their lives. The bodies of the couple and the child were taken to the morgue of Mardin Training and Research Hospital for autopsy.

Speaking about the discovery of their neighbors' bodies, Ali Beydüz said, "I am also a tradesman. He was our neighbor, and we are in shock. This is a massacre, nothing else. He was a simple person. He was also a tradesman, working as a repairman. It happened between 01:00 and 02:00 last night. We have no other information."

Initial investigations by the teams at the scene indicated that there was no forced entry at the door, and it was learned that the bodies would be taken to the Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institution for detailed autopsy.
