In Izmir, upon receiving information that obscene content belonging to an 11-year-old girl was shared on social media, an investigation was launched by teams from the Izmir Provincial Police Department's Public Order and Child Branch Office.
SUSPECTS TURN OUT TO BE MOTHER AND FATHER
Within the scope of the studies coordinated by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the teams identified the suspects as mother G.A. and father Y.A. It was understood that suspect Y.A. was in a penal institution sentenced for various crimes. In line with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's directive, suspect mother G.A. was taken into custody.
VICTIM CHILD TAKEN UNDER PROTECTION
The victim A.A. was referred to the Izmir Child Monitoring Center for judicial procedures. Efforts continue to take the victim child's statement accompanied by a pedagogue and to implement necessary protective measures.
OTHER SUSPECTS BEING SOUGHT
Investigations are ongoing regarding the seizure and examination of digital materials related to the incident and the identification of possible other suspects.
