It was claimed that the home of former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was targeted in the attacks by the US and Israel on Iran and that he lost his life. However, while there has been no official confirmation regarding this claim, a new development has occurred regarding Ahmadinejad's fate.

The former president's spokesperson denied the death claims in a statement made to the international public. The spokesperson stated, "The news that Mr. Ahmadinejad has been killed is not true. He is alive and safe."
SHARED CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FOR HAMANEY
According to the Iranian news agency ISNA, Ahmadinejad published a condolence message for Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, who was reported to have lost his life in the US-Israel attacks. In his message, Ahmadinejad expressed, "With great sorrow and deep regret, I extend my condolences to the entire public and their relatives due to the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, family members, some officials, commanders, soldiers, students, and a group of citizens in the heavy and unprecedented attack by America and Israel."
WHO IS MAHMUD AHMEDINEJAD?
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the sixth president of Iran and a member of the Expediency Discernment Council, was born in 1956 in the village of Aradan in the Garmsar district of Semnan province.
Ahmadinejad, who migrated to Tehran with his family when he was one year old, served as the first governor of Ardabil Province between 1993 and 1997. He held the position of Mayor of Tehran from 2003 to 2005.
Ahmadinejad was elected in the second round of the presidential elections held on June 24, 2005, and took office on August 3, 2005, serving two terms until 2013. Ahmadinejad's application to run for president for the third time in 2017 was not accepted for constitutional reasons. After the end of his term, Ahmadinejad was appointed as a member of the Expediency Discernment Council by the Religious Leader Ali Khamenei in 2013.
