A new decision has been made regarding Zuhal Böcek, the daughter-in-law of Mayor Muhittin Böcek, who was arrested in connection with a bribery and corruption investigation targeting the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. She has been released. Zuhal Böcek, who was arrested in early May after being detained in an Istanbul-centered operation, has been released by the court to stand trial without detention.

Along with the release decision, the court imposed a ban on Zuhal Böcek from traveling abroad as part of judicial control measures. Previously, within the same investigation, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek was also suspended from duty and arrested; a broad investigation into the incident continues.

INVESTIGATION

Within the scope of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the allegation that Muhittin Böcek, who was suspended from his post as Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, gave "bribes" in relation to his candidacy, a detention decision was made for three suspects, including his daughter-in-law Zuhal Böcek.

In this context, Zuhal Böcek and two suspects were detained by police teams on April 30.
