Bayraktar, who built Galleria, known as the first shopping mall in Turkey, was referred to as the "father of shopping malls." His company operated in the automotive and real estate sectors.
In a statement made by Ege Endüstri to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the following expressions were included:
"We have learned with great sadness about the passing of our company's Chairman of the Board, Mr. Hüseyin Bayraktar. We wish him God's mercy and extend our condolences to his grieving family, relatives, and all his loved ones. An appointment will be made as soon as possible for the vacant position of Board Member and Chairmanship due to the passing of Mr. Hüseyin Bayraktar, in accordance with the relevant legislation, and will be announced to the public."
