In Maltepe, a doctor and a taxi driver started arguing in traffic over "right of way." During the ensuing scuffle, the taxi driver fell and sustained a head injury. He lost his two-month battle for life. The doctor was arrested for "intentional murder."
On March 12, in the Aydınevler neighborhood of the Maltepe district in Istanbul, taxi driver Ali Zeki Sadıkoğlu (54) began to argue with orthopedic doctor F.Ç. (44) over yielding the right of way in traffic.
DIED 2 MONTHS LATER
As a result of the altercation, taxi driver Sadıkoğlu fell and was injured on his head. He was taken to the hospital and received treatment, but he passed away on May 13.
DOCTOR ARRESTED
Teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch Directorate detained the suspect F.Ç. on the charge of "intentional murder" upon the prosecutor's order following the taxi driver's death. After completing the procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the judge.
