The application process for the Century's Social Housing Project, conducted by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, has entered its final week. Approximately 5.5 million people have applied for the 500,000 social housing projects planned for 81 provinces across the country. Applications will close on Thursday, December 18, via e-Government, and on Friday, December 19, through banks.
The application process for the 500,000 social housing project, conducted by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and covering all 81 provinces of Turkey, has reached its final stage.
LAST WEEK FOR APPLICATIONS
So far, approximately 5.5 million people have applied for the project, which aims to provide earthquake-resistant, safe, and accessible housing.
Applications will end on Thursday, December 18, via e-Government, and on Friday, December 19, through banks.
DIFFERENT APARTMENT OPTIONS AND SPECIAL QUOTAS
The houses to be offered for sale within the project have been planned to meet different needs. In this context, there are 1+1 apartments of 55 square meters, 2+1 apartments of 65 square meters, and 2+1 apartments of 80 square meters available.
In line with the understanding of a social state, special quotas have also been allocated for various groups in the project. 20% of the houses will be allocated to retirees, 20% to young people aged 18-30, and 10% to families with three or more children. A 5% quota is also planned for disabled citizens, as well as for the relatives of martyrs and veterans.
RENTAL SOCIAL HOUSING MODEL IN ISTANBUL
With the "Rental Social Housing Project" to be implemented in Istanbul, citizens who meet the specified criteria will be able to benefit from rental housing. In this project, the rights holders will also be determined by a lottery method.
After the completion of the application process, the lottery schedule that will determine the rights holders will come into effect. The first lotteries are planned to be drawn on December 29, and the lottery process is expected to continue until February 2026. The first housing deliveries to the rights holders are aimed to be made in March 2027.
