In the investigation into Güllü's death, the statement of the arrested Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter has emerged. When asked about his friend Sultan Nur Ulu's confession that "Tuğyan pushed Gül mother," Tuğyan explained it as "Ulu's drug use and her anxiety about the drug test." Gülter also defended himself regarding messages related to wanting to kill his mother by saying, "We had a fight at that time, and I hadn't gone home for about 21 days. It was a message I wrote during a time when I was very angry with my mother."
'Güllü', known as the singer Gül Tut, died by falling from the window of her apartment in a six-story building on Vali Akı Street in the Harmanlar neighborhood of Çınarcık district on September 26. In the investigation initiated by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident, Güllü, who underwent an autopsy, was buried in Istanbul.
HER DAUGHTER CONTRADICTED IN HER STATEMENTS After technical and physical surveillance, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, the singer's daughter, and her friend Sultan Nur Ulu, who were trying to escape to Georgia or France with suitcases, were caught and detained by the police in Istanbul after giving different statements in three previous testimonies. Following the statements of the suspects, who were brought to the Yalova Police Department for cross-examination, and the findings obtained through technical and physical surveillance, T. Y., the owner of the house where the suspects stayed in Istanbul, and A. U., Sultan Nur Ulu's father, along with one person who transported the suspects from Yalova to Istanbul after the incident, were detained. The 17-year-old individual detained in this context was released after giving his statement.
THEY WERE BROUGHT TO THE COURT LAST NIGHT In the investigation where the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has taken a 'Confidentiality' decision, the suspects who gave statements were subjected to a health check at Yalova Training and Research Hospital. The police first brought Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter to the courthouse under strict security measures. Gülter responded to the questions of the press members who were taking her video and photos, saying, "I am innocent, the truth will come out." Sultan Nur Ulu, who was later brought to the courthouse and was present in the house during the incident, was also interrogated by Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor Duygu Bayar Öksüz and two prosecutors.
DESCRIBED THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT In her statement at the prosecutor's office, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter described the day of the incident, saying, "When we went to the house in Çınarcık with Sultan, my mother Güllü was at home. After sitting in the room and chatting, my mother took a shower. Sultan and I ordered food and ate. Later, we decided to watch a movie together. Since we were going to watch a movie, my mother prepared appetizers for herself and got some wine. She used to drink alcohol before, but she had just started drinking wine. My mother drank about 3.5 bottles of wine. While we were watching the movie, I went to my room for a while and had a video call with my ex-fiancé Kervan for about 20 minutes. When I returned to the living room, my mother and Sultan were still watching the movie. After a while, we turned off the movie. Then we played music. The three of us had fun together with music. Later, Sultan and I went to the room. I had a video call with Kervan and Çiğdem sister in the room. Sultan was sitting next to me. I went to the living room a couple of times. During the time I was in the room, I had a conversation with Kervan about a ring. I had mentioned that I would throw the ring away and that I might be pregnant. However, my mother did not know this. While talking to Sultan, I told her, 'I would say I fell for my pregnancy or I would have an abortion' in case my mother found out. At that time, music was playing on the television in the living room, connected to Sultan's phone. We were in the room. I remember that the door was closed, but I am not sure. Sultan and I played music from my phone in the room. I asked Sultan to play the song 'Malkata.' Sultan played the song 'Malkata' from my phone. While we were dancing to Malkata, my mother came in. She tried to hold Sultan's hand and make her dance Malkata. Sultan said she didn't know how to dance it. The three of us started dancing in the room. We were dancing between the door and my wardrobe. My mother and I would pinch each other. If something was said to me like 'Let me go, let me go,' it must have been said in that context. Later, my mother asked us to turn up the music. Sultan was looking at her face in front of my wardrobe. She had a stitch mark on her face. Sultan constantly looked at the stitch mark, and I was dancing next to her at that time. Then I heard a very loud 'thud' sound. When I looked towards the window, I didn't see my mother, so I shouted 'run' and went downstairs. After hearing the thud sound while I was in the room, I didn't see my mother. I don't know how she fell. I ran straight downstairs. While running, I knocked on Çiğdem sister's door. After going downstairs, I don't remember what happened. Later, I was told what happened, but I don't remember any of it," she stated.
"TUĞYAN PUSHED GÜL ANNE" Sultan Nur Ulu stated in her testimony at the prosecutor's office, "After we danced, Gül Anne was facing the window. At that moment, Tuğyan hugged Gül Anne from just above her knees and pushed her, causing her to lose her balance and fall. I was in shock. After that, Tuğyan told me to 'run,'" it was reported.
"I DO NOT ACCEPT THE STATEMENT GIVEN AGAINST ME" Regarding Ulu's confession, Gülter stated, "I do not accept the statements given by Sultan against me regarding my mother's fall from the window. My mother is much heavier than me. I have no chance of lifting her. Besides, I was turned away during the incident. I have no idea how my mother fell. Normally, there is no problem between Sultan and me. Sultan and I were very close friends. However, before the accident, Sultan had used drugs with her ex-boyfriend. I had heard about this. In fact, before the accident, Sultan had used cocaine, she told me this. I heard that during the accident, they were using methamphetamine with her boyfriend. When the drug test procedures were entered into the file, Sultan became very anxious about it. She said to my lawyer Merve Uçanok, 'Are you trying to get me in trouble?'" it was learned.

"I SENT THOSE MESSAGES WHEN I WAS ANGRY WITH MY MOTHER" Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, regarding the messages that emerged about wanting to kill his mother, stated, "Since we lived in the same place, I remember Hülya and Bircan sister vaguely scaring Sultan on the day of the funeral and the day after. They said things like, 'You will get into trouble, Tuğyan uses drugs, he will frame you.' Sultan told me about this much later. I think the statements Sultan made against me stem from this. Because there is no enmity between us. In fact, during this process, Sultan has supported me the most. There was no issue between my mother and me regarding drugs, money, my ex-fiancé Kervan, or any other reason. My messages saying 'I want to kill my mother' are, as far as I remember, messages I sent to Bircan sister in June. However, I had a fight with my mother at that time, and I hadn't gone home for about 21 days. It was a message I wrote during a time when I was very angry with my mother. Later, my brother Tuğberk reconciled my mother and me," he expressed.
"WE DID NOT GO TO ISTANBUL TO ESCAPE ABROAD" In response to another question, Gülter stated that they did not go to Istanbul to escape abroad, saying, "At one point when we were in Istanbul, Serhat C. invited us out. We were at Tuğba sister's house at that time. When Serhat invited us, Sultan, I, Serhat C., and Gökhan C. went out. However, Serhat took us to an apartment, saying that our faces were recognized and that we would not give our IDs. Serhat told us, 'I need to talk to you,' took our phones, and placed them on top of the wardrobe. Later, he told Sultan and me, 'Go abroad, even if you haven't done anything, they will arrest you due to societal pressure.' He was constantly scaring us while saying this. When we got our phones back, Sultan spoke with her brother Yusuf. During this time, while Sultan was mentioning what Serhat said to her brother Yusuf, Serhat recorded these. What he recorded was only the conversation with Yusuf and later my conversation with Seyhan S. I have no fear of anything. I didn't have a travel ban abroad. I have a small child. I wouldn't leave him and go anywhere. These conversations were just a result of the conversation Serhat opened with us. During the time I stayed at the house in Çınarcık, I was constantly disturbed. For this reason, I started staying at Gökhan C.'s house. I went to stay at Gökhan C.'s house with 3 suitcases. Gökhan was staying in Çınarcık in Yalova. Tuğba sister and her husband Serhat brother were going to come to pick me up. We were going to Büyükçekmece where they were. I had stayed at Tuğba sister's house for about 1.5 weeks. Later, I rented a house from a real estate agent named Arif in Çınarcık. On the day we were taken into custody, I went to Büyükçekmece to take my suitcases to the house I was going to rent. There is no connection between going to Büyükçekmece in Istanbul and escaping abroad. That's why we didn't go. I have no reason to kill my mother. Neither my mother nor I harbored any enmity towards each other. I am confident, so there is no situation where I would escape. The statement given by suspect Sultan regarding my mother's death is unacceptable," he was informed.
"I DO NOT ACCEPT THE EXPERT REPORT" Regarding the expert report, Gülter stated, "Although it is mentioned in the expert report that the death was due to an external force and contact, I absolutely do not accept this. If I had pushed my mother, there would have needed to be a scream or a call for help instead of the phrase 'we will see' in the voice recordings. Moreover, I did not say the word 'we will see.' I absolutely do not accept it. I definitely did not kill my mother. I am innocent. If your court has a contrary opinion, you may impose a travel ban and all necessary judicial control measures against me. I do not accept the charges against me. I request to be released to be tried without detention," he said.
In the investigation regarding the death of singer Güllü, Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who was detained on the charge of 'intentional killing' and was referred to the courthouse yesterday, was arrested, while Sultan Nur Ulu was referred to the duty judge with a request for a travel ban. Sultan Nur Ulu's father A. U., the suspect known as T. Y. with whom they stayed at their home, and the driver were released after their statements to the prosecutor's office. Sultan Nur Ulu, who was referred to the duty judge, was released under judicial control conditions and taken home under police escort. Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, who was detained on the charge of 'intentional killing,' was arrested by the duty court.
THE LAWYERS WITHDREW FROM THE CASE Rahmi Çelik, the lawyer for Güllü's family, stated in a statement in front of the courthouse that they withdrew from the case with the lawyers accompanying him, saying, "As you know, lawyer Rahmi Çelik, lawyer Mert Erdoğan, Muharrem Çetin, Hakan Sezar, and Ms. Aycan were all representing the late Ms. Gül while she was alive. After her passing, it was necessary to take care of her children, and upon her request, we began to represent the children in this case. However, we had a very special request and demand from both Tuğberk and Tuğyan. We stated that we would not continue our representation if we sensed the slightest doubt in the case. We received this assurance from both Tuğberk and Tuğyan. Now, as you know, until now, they have always been taken statements as victims. However, in the last 3 days, statements have started to be taken from Tuğyan as a suspect. The case has gained the status of a suspect, and in this situation, in order to protect the spiritual legacy of the late Ms. Gül, we decided to withdraw from representing Ms. Tuğyan with the approval we received from both Tuğberk and Tuğyan. However, this should not mean that Tuğyan is guilty or that she is innocent," he said.
Lawyer Aycan Sevsay, speaking to reporters, stated that they decided to withdraw from the case due to the change in the course of the interrogation.
