The fire, which is believed to have started from a coal stove in a house in the village of Kızılpınar in the Besni district of Adıyaman, rapidly grew due to the wind. Villagers who noticed the fire intervened in the flames and reported the situation to the fire department. Due to the strong winds, the fire quickly engulfed the entire house.

Firefighters, medical teams, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the teams intervened in the flames while also taking security measures in the surrounding area. As a result of the efforts, the fire was brought under control and extinguished, but the house became unusable.
