Following the Welfare Party and the Future Party, the DEVA Party has also announced that it will not participate in the AK Party's 8th Ordinary Congress.

DEVA Party Deputy Chairman and Adana Member of Parliament Sadullah Kısacık announced that the DEVA Party will not attend the AKP's 8th Ordinary Grand Congress to be held tomorrow.

The 8th Ordinary Congress of the AK Party will take place tomorrow at the Ankara Sports Hall. The congress, organized under the main slogan "With AK in its name, in the light of the future," is expected to be attended by 1,607 delegates. While many claims have been made regarding the congress, there are also hot developments concerning the political parties invited to the congress.

DEVA PARTY'S DECISION NOT TO ATTEND

Following the Future Party and the New Welfare Party, the DEVA Party has also decided not to attend the congress. DEVA Party Deputy Chairman and Adana Member of Parliament Sadullah Kısacık stated in a post on his social media account that it was emphasized in the press conferences held by the AKP until February 21 that their party was not invited, but they were invited late on February 21 through a private secretary.

Kısacık announced that they have declined the invitation with the words, "Along with our thanks for the invitation, it has been communicated to them today that our Party cannot respond to this invitation made in a manner that does not comply with the principles of procedure, time, and addressee required by political customs."

"WE ARE OPEN TO EVENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH POLITICAL CUSTOMS"

Kısacık also stated, "The DEVA Party, which has demonstrated its commitment to the principle of dialogue since its establishment, is open to mutual participation in events such as celebrations and congresses that will be held in accordance with political customs with the AK Party, as it has been with many political parties so far."

FUTURE PARTY AND NEW WELFARE PARTY ALSO DECIDED NOT TO ATTEND

The Future Party announced that it would not attend the AK Party's 8th Congress. In a statement from the Future Party, it was said, "Those who could not prevent the establishment of our party with heavy pressures and troll attacks, those who could not stop the local organization of our party with the ruthless pressures they applied, those who could not intimidate the important founders of our party with the barbaric attacks of street gangs and court cases, and those who could not prevent our party from being represented in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and forming a strong group in alliance, have now attempted to transfer some of our MPs to use them as show material for the AK Party Congress with tactics reminiscent of 'Güneş Motel' that have been ingrained in the memory of Turkish society."

On the other hand, New Welfare Party Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson Suat Kılıç announced that his party has decided not to attend the AK Party's 8th Ordinary Congress. Kılıç reminded that six mayors from the New Welfare Party were given AK Party badges by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the AK Party Group Meeting, saying, "'Are we going to attend the AK Party's 8th Ordinary Congress just to say congratulations for taking the municipalities that you could not win at the ballot box?'"
