Iran announced the schedule of funeral ceremonies for former leader Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in the US and Israeli attacks held on February 28. The first ceremony will be held on July 4-5 in Tehran.

According to Iranian state media, the funeral program for Ali Khamenei will cover the cities of Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad. Khamenei's body will be laid to rest at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad on July 9.

According to information reported by Iranian state television, the funeral program for Khamenei will begin on July 4 and end on July 9.



FIRST CEREMONY TO BE HELD IN TEHRAN

According to the announced schedule, the first funeral ceremony will be held on July 4-5 at the Imam Khomeini Musalla Mosque in the capital, Tehran.

Within the program, a second funeral ceremony will be held in Tehran on July 6.

CEREMONIES TO BE HELD IN QOM AND MASHHAD

As part of the funeral program, memorial and funeral ceremonies will also be held in the city of Qom on July 7.

The final stop of the ceremonies will be Mashhad. After the ceremony there on July 9, Ali Khamenei's body will be laid to rest in the area prepared for him within the Imam Reza Shrine.
