The first hearing of the case regarding the murder of footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı, who was killed in an armed attack in Ümraniye, is being held today. Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu and Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, who face life imprisonment, and İzzet Yıldızhan, who faces up to 5 years in prison, are appearing before the judge for the first time.

THE INCIDENT OCCURRED ON MARCH 19
In the incident that took place on the night of March 19 on Sıddık Street in Ümraniye, rapper Vahap Canbay from the Canbay & Wolker group wanted to reconcile with singer Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, whom he had broken up with some time ago. Canbay asked for help from his friend Kubilay Kundakçı (21), who was known to be on good terms with him. Kubilay Kundakçı went to the front of the studio where Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu was located, together with Vahap Canbay and his friends. While the group was waiting inside the vehicle, an argument broke out with Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, who arrived at the scene with vehicles equipped with strobe lights. Kundakçı was seriously injured after Kadayıfçıoğlu opened fire with a gun and died in the hospital where he was taken.
PRISON TERM REQUESTED FOR SINGER İZZET YILDIZHAN
In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, life imprisonment was sought for Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu on charges of 'Intentional killing' and 'Possession of an unlicensed firearm', and for Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu on charges of 'Incitement to intentional killing'. The indictment also requested a prison sentence of 6 months to 5 years for folk singer İzzet Yıldızhan on charges of 'Harboring a criminal'.
DEFENDANTS TO APPEAR BEFORE THE JUDGE FOR THE FIRST TIME
The first hearing will be held today at 10:30 AM at the Istanbul Anadolu 23rd Heavy Penal Court. Detained and released defendants, including Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, and İzzet Yıldızhan, will appear before the judge for the first time. During the hearing, it is expected that the defendants' defenses will be taken, the victims will be heard, and the evidence in the file will be evaluated.
