The former co-chair of the DEM Party in Tunceli Municipality, Birsen Orhan, announced that she has been detained by the police. Orhan had previously been released under house arrest conditions.

The former co-chair of the DEM Party of Tunceli Municipality, Birsen Orhan, reported that she has been detained. Orhan was released on November 24 under "house arrest conditions."

By the decision of the Ministry of Interior, Tunceli Mayor Cevdet Konak was removed from office on November 22 due to an investigation regarding the charges of "membership in the terrorist organization PKK and making PKK propaganda," and Tunceli Governor Bülent Tekbıyıkoğlu was appointed as the trustee.

DETAINED

The former co-chair of the DEM Party of Tunceli Municipality, Birsen Orhan, was released under house arrest conditions on November 24. In a post she made on her social media account in the morning, Orhan stated, "I am being detained by the Pertek police."
