A fugitive wanted for drug trafficking in Izmir's Konak district jumped from a height of 4 meters after realizing he would be caught in a police operation. The convict, who was injured and later discharged from the hospital following treatment, was sent to prison after the completion of legal procedures.

In the Konak district of Izmir, a fugitive convict who had a finalized prison sentence and was injured after jumping from a height of approximately 4 meters while trying to escape a police raid was sent to prison following his treatment at the hospital.

4-METER JUMP ENDED IN INJURY

As part of meticulous efforts to capture wanted individuals, teams from the Konak District Police Department identified the hideout of 27-year-old O.K., who had a finalized 7-year and 6-month prison sentence for the crime of "drug trafficking." During the operation carried out at the identified address on July 6, O.K. attempted to flee upon seeing the police teams. Realizing he would be caught, the panicked fugitive jumped from a height of approximately 4 meters from the building where he was hiding.

BEHIND BARS AFTER TREATMENT

After falling onto the concrete ground and sustaining injuries, police teams immediately requested assistance from medical teams. Following the initial intervention by health personnel who arrived at the scene, O.K. was taken to the hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment. After completing his treatment at the hospital, the fugitive convict was discharged today and, following police procedures, was handed over to the prison.
