TEAMS CAME TO THE AREA FOLLOWING A TIP
The incident occurred in the evening hours in a residence apartment located in the Çankaya Neighborhood of Şanlıurfa. According to the claim, following a tip that there was a weapon in the room where fugitive suspect Celal Çaltı was staying, armored police vehicles and special operations teams were dispatched to the area.
Teams that took security measures around the area called on Çaltı to surrender. However, the suspect, who was alleged to have refused to surrender, returned fire at the police. Thereupon, an armed clash occurred in the area.
