The incident occurred around 3:00 PM on Adnan Kahveci Street in the Mühittin neighborhood. Ersin Aka, the head coach of Çorluspor 1947, a team in Turkey's 3rd League, was shot by an unidentified person while walking.

DIED

Aka collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood after being shot by the assailant. The attacker fled the scene. Aka was taken to Çorlu State Hospital by the medical teams who arrived after the alert. Despite all the doctors' efforts, Aka could not be saved. The police conducted a detailed investigation at the scene. Efforts are ongoing to capture the person who carried out the armed attack.
