President Erdoğan was awarded the "Khoja Akhmet Yassawi Order" by President Tokayev during his official visit to Kazakhstan. Thus, Erdoğan became the first person to be presented with the "Khoja Akhmet Yassawi Order". Erdoğan said, "I will be honored to carry this order as a strong symbol of the unshakable brotherhood between our countries."
It was reported that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was presented with the 'Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Order' by Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Erdogan and Tokayev held a tête-à-tête meeting at the Independence Palace and attended the Sixth Meeting of the Turkey-Kazakhstan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. It was reported that Tokayev presented the 'Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Order' to President Erdogan after the meeting.
"I WILL BE HONORED TO WEAR THIS ORDER"
President Erdogan expressed his feelings about the order with the following words:
"I sincerely thank my dear brother for the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Order he has conferred. I will be honored to wear this order as a powerful symbol of the unshakable brotherhood between our countries."
ERDOGAN BECAME THE FIRST NAME
The 'Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Order' was announced by Kazakhstan President Tokayev in a statement made on April 10, 2026. With today's ceremony, President Erdogan became the first name to be presented with the 'Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Order.'

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan continues his engagements in Astana. President Erdogan held a bilateral meeting with Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. After the tête-à-tête meeting, the two leaders attended the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, the President said, "I congratulate the brotherly Kazakh people on the Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day you have recently observed. I sincerely wish that the new constitution, which received great support from the people in the referendum held on March 15, brings good fortune to Kazakhstan. Turkey-Kazakhstan relations continue to advance in every field within the framework of the enhanced strategic partnership. In our meeting with our dear brother, we had a productive exchange of views on many issues, from trade to energy, defense industry cooperation to transportation and global matters. My dear brother and I agree on providing the means to institutionally strengthen our Organization. God willing, we will make the coming period the century of the Turkic world."
Also present at the meeting were Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, National Education Minister Yusuf Tekin, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, AK Party Deputy Chairman Kürşat Zorlu, and Binali Yıldırım.
