According to the Italian ANSA news agency, Cavallari, who was on a boat tour with Minister Roccella on Lake Vico near the city of Viterbo, went missing after entering the lake.
It was stated that it has not yet been determined whether Cavallari fell into the lake or entered the water voluntarily to swim, and that he did not resurface after entering the water.
SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS CONTINUE
It was reported that search and rescue teams consisting of divers were dispatched to Lake Vico to find Cavallari, a professor at the Faculty of Architecture of Gabriele d'Annunzio University in Pescara.
It was conveyed that a helicopter belonging to the Italian gendarmerie supported the search efforts for Cavallari by circling over the lake from the air.
