The husband of the woman who said, "I was made an immoral proposal," spoke out.

Five months pregnant Sabriye A. recently attacked her husband Mehmet A. with a knife while he was driving a bus, claiming that he had abducted their 2-year-old son. The young woman later stated in her remarks that she had been subjected to violence countless times by her husband and that he had received immoral offers from men due to his gambling debts. Mehmet A, who came to Istanbul, responded to his wife's allegations.

Mehmet A stated that Sabriye A came to him with the intent to attack, saying, "'I didn't injure him with a knife. I injured him with the file of a nail clipper.' A 3-year-old child would laugh at this. She attacked me with a knife. She attacked me with pepper spray. She threatened me. All her claims are lies. She is lying to avoid going to prison. Turkey should not be deceived by this. She speaks like this to justify herself. I did not swear. She is trying to divert the issue. They say there are women's rights. I am stitched up. If it had gone up one centimeter, I would have died. She was given house arrest. She says she is pregnant. I want her to be tried and punished." he said.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On January 9, in the Seyhan district of Adana, Sabriye A attacked her husband Mehmet A while he was driving a bus, claiming that he had hidden their child from her. The woman, who bit her husband's arm, then sprayed him with pepper spray and stabbed him in the neck with a knife. The attacking woman was sentenced to house arrest.

Later, Sabriye A stated in a press statement that she had been subjected to countless violence by her husband for 3 years. Sabriye A said, "Before this incident occurred, I was called by a person I had never met due to gambling debts. He said that these debts could be paid by me and made an immoral offer to me. When I heard this, I felt very bad and reacted. Later, my husband came, and I explained this situation to him. My husband was drunk, and he told me that this was very normal and that nothing would happen from one time, and that he would continue to gamble. At that moment, we had an argument, and he took my child away." She also claimed that her husband came to the health clinic where he worked and tried to strangle her to make her withdraw from the divorce, stating that there are security camera recordings of the incident.
