The legendary figure of the '90s, Ragga Oktay, became memorable with the song "Çukulata Kız." The artist, who has been away from the music scene for a long time, was spotted by cameras in Nişantaşı. Ragga Oktay, who stated that his family still lives in the Netherlands, said, "We have business in Turkey, and concerts are ongoing."
Once shaking up the music charts with the song "Chocolate Girl," Ragga Oktay has broken his long silence. The singer, who stepped into the music scene in Turkey in the 90s and is remembered for his characteristic style, was spotted in Nişantaşı. Ragga Oktay, who stated that he frequently visits his family living in the Netherlands, mentioned that he came to Istanbul due to his projects in Turkey. Answering questions from the press, the singer expressed that he has never been disconnected from music.
“My family is still in the Netherlands. I go back and forth, but we have business in Turkey, so I am here. I haven't quit music; concerts are still ongoing,” said Oktay, expressing that he is actively performing on stage. Ragga Oktay, who came to Turkey in 1995 to participate in Galatasaray's football player selections but turned to a music career by signing an album deal on the same day, had drawn attention at that time with his different accent and style.
"LIFE HAS CHANGED"
Answering questions about his new music productions, the singer evaluated the changes in the industry with the following words: "There are quality works, and there are low-quality works... It was the same in our time. Actually, not just music, life has changed. People's perspectives have changed. Everything needs to be accepted as it is."
