It has been determined that the female body found in the Munzur River in Tunceli belongs to 55-year-old Sultan Öz, a mother of three. It is being investigated whether Öz, who was noticed while being carried by the water, fell into the river or committed suicide. On the other hand, it was learned that her husband also lost his life in a bear attack 10 years ago. The investigation into the incident continues.

CITIZENS NOTICED, TEAMS DISPATCHED

The incident occurred in the morning hours at the Mavi Köprü location on the Munzur River. Citizens who noticed the woman drifting in the water reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, AFAD, health, fire brigade, and police teams were dispatched to the area. The body, retrieved from the water by divers, was taken to the Tunceli State Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

IDENTIFIED AS SULTAN ÖZ

As a result of the examinations, it was determined that the deceased woman was Sultan Öz, who lived in the Kayabaşı location of the Cumhuriyet Neighborhood in the city center. It was learned that authorities are investigating whether the woman fell into the river or the possibility of suicide.

HER HUSBAND ALSO PASSED AWAY YEARS AGO

On the other hand, it was shared that Sultan Öz's husband, Kemal Öz, was attacked by a bear in the village 10 years ago and passed away in the hospital where he was taken. The investigation launched to clarify the incident continues.
