New footage continues to emerge regarding the fire disaster in Bolu. The images show a person, who was helpless in the initial moments of the fire, trying to throw their baby, while another person is seen jumping from the 12th floor to escape.

Heartbreaking details and images continue to emerge regarding the fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Kartalkaya Ski Resort, where 79 of our citizens lost their lives.

DESPERATION AND STRUGGLE FOR SURVIVAL

Images of some people trying to escape by jumping from heights and others attempting to save themselves by tying sheets together once again highlight the desperation of those trapped in the hotel at the moment of the tragedy. In a video recorded with a mobile phone camera, a desperate individual is seen trying to throw their baby to safety while holding them in their arms from a smoke-filled room. The voices of nearby citizens can be heard saying, "He's going to throw the child," and shouting for him not to do so, while the chilling footage continues with moments of a person jumping from a window on the top floor.

JUMPED FROM THE TOP FLOOR

Hotel employee Mehmet Can Gezici stated that they were caught off guard by the fire while sleeping, saying, "We were sleeping when the fire broke out. We woke up around 3:00 AM. When we went outside, it was a terrible sight. When we arrived here, it looked like the apocalypse. The hotel had started to burn from the middle, and the flames were rising. We tried to help. We brought our pillows and blankets for those jumping out of the window. We had to witness a female nurse jumping from the top floor. She lost her life. It was a very bad time. People had to throw their children, perhaps to save their lives. Not many survived. It was very distressing. When I look at the hotel, those moments come to my mind. We couldn't even understand what we felt. Right now, we can't even express our thoughts," he said.
