The eagerly awaited internal mechanism of the highly popular DOA application's return machines across Turkey has been captured on camera for the first time. The footage shows how packaging placed by citizens into the hopper is sorted and stored by type within seconds by the intelligent system in the background.

The interiors of the machines were shown for the first time in the Deposit-Bearing Packaging (DBP) application, which has attracted great interest from citizens across the country.

In the images that garnered intense interest in a short time, the internal mechanism of the deposit return machine was revealed. The video recorded how the returned empty packaging is detected by the smart system inside the machine, categorized according to its type, and transferred to the storage area in an orderly manner.

A TOTAL OF 18 MILLION PACKAGING RECOVERED IN THE RECYCLING CHAIN IN 10 DAYS

The Deposit-Bearing Packaging (DBP) System, which Turkey implemented nationwide on July 1st, was cited as an exemplary recycling model for many Western countries, especially the USA.

The system, implemented as part of the Zero Waste Movement and run by the Turkish Environment Agency (TÜÇA) under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, has turned into a major environmental mobilization in a short time.

According to official data, in the first 10-day period of the application, a total of 18 million 775 thousand 861 packaging were successfully collected and recovered in the recycling chain across the country.
