The statement given by Haluk Levent's brother, Berkan Acil, who was arrested as part of the investigation into the Şile Municipality, has been revealed. In his statement, Acil said, 'Sur Music won the tender for the Şile Cloth Festival. I was not involved in any of the payments, and we did not pay any artists. My brother Haluk Levent requested that the 1.5 million dollars in question remain in the company account for one day and then be sent to Yeliz Kaya's account. That is why I sent it.'

Within the scope of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Şile Municipality, the statement given by Berkant Acil, the brother of Haluk Levent and owner of the Koşan Adam company, has emerged. In his statement, Acil responded to questions regarding the organization process of the 35th International Şile Cloth Culture and Art Festival, the commercial relationship conducted with Sur Music company, and the findings in the expert report.

"KOŞAN ADAM COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ENTER THE TENDER"

In his statement, Berkant Acil said, "I know Özgür Kabadayı because he is the Mayor of Şile. I have no business dealings or debt relations with him. I also know Oğuz Kaçmaz as he is part of the municipal team. I know Aytaç Köse because he is the son-in-law of Mehmet Sait Köse, the owner of Sur Music, a company we work with. Arif Sevik is an organizer who has been employed with insurance at my company for many years. He brings concert organizations from Anatolia and takes his commission. I have never participated in any tender and do not even have a work completion certificate. On the contrary, I provide services as a consultant to companies that win tenders. The Koşan Adam company does not have the authority to enter a tender; it only handles artist organization. Before the Şile Cloth Festival, a delegation from the municipality came to my office for information. I told them that I could only provide artist services and that artist fees must be paid in advance. Later, Arif Sevik told me he found a company with financial strength and that an agreement was made with Sur Music. Thereupon, I made a commission agreement with Sur Music and carried out the concert organization. I was not involved in any of the payments or tender processes."

"WE DID NOT PAY ANY ARTIST"

Acil stated, "I took part in the organization part of the Şile Cloth Festival. I have no knowledge, information, or authority regarding the tender processes. We made a service commission agreement with Sur Music, which won the tender. As Koşan Adam, we arranged the artists and ensured they performed at the concerts, but we did not make any payments to the artists. Since Arif Sevik is insured at my company, he is known as one of Koşan Adam's people. In fact, he is an organizer and works with everyone in exchange for a commission. I made the initial meetings with some artists, while Arif Sevik, authorized on behalf of Sur Music, met with others. The Koşan Adam company has never made any payments to artists or hosts. This will also be evident from the account movements."

"SUR MUSIC PAID THE REMAINING AMOUNT TO THE MUSICIANS IN CASH"

When asked about the finding in the expert report in the file that there is a difference of approximately 20 million 858 thousand liras between the amount paid by the municipality for the festival and the actual payments made to the artists, Acil said, "The amounts formalized by the artists are contrary to the normal course of life. The contractor company Sur Music paid the remaining amount to the musicians in cash."

"I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE MONEY CAME FROM"

Acil stated, "A significant part of the transactions in my companies' accounts result from debt exchanges carried out within the scope of commercial activities. The remaining amount relates to the commercial activities of my three companies. Yeliz Kaya was the authorized person of Koşan Trade at that time. I don't know where the money came from. My brother Haluk Levent wanted the 1.5 million dollars in question to remain in the company account for one day and then be sent to Yeliz Kaya's account. That's why I sent it. I know that this matter was explained to the tax office by Haluk Levent and Yeliz Kaya. I have no information about the whereabouts of the money afterward."

"ALL MY MEETINGS WITH YELIZ KAYA ARE ABOUT THE COURTESY CHECKS GIVEN TO HALUK LEVENT"

Acil said, "I do not accept any accusations. All suspicions are paranoid. Sending money to my family or receiving money from my family is my most natural right. This money has not gone to any illegal place. All my meetings with Yeliz Kaya are about the courtesy checks given to Haluk Levent. These meetings support the statements I provided above."
