In the Korkuteli district of Antalya, JASAT teams captured the suspect S.K. in connection with a murder committed in 2011, following a DNA analysis conducted with new technology. S.K. was referred to the judicial authorities and arrested.
The Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) solved the murder of Havva Yıldırım, which was committed in 2011 in the Korkuteli district of Antalya. According to the information obtained, the JASAT team of the Antalya Provincial Gendarmerie Command and the Korkuteli District Gendarmerie Command re-examined the DNA samples found on the victim, which were evaluated to belong to the suspect, using current technology in the case of Havva Yıldırım, who was strangled to death with her hands and mouth bound on September 11, 2011, in the Ulucak neighborhood. In this context, DNA samples taken from 9 suspects were compared with the samples taken from the victim.
SUSPECT ARRESTED IN OPERATION
As a result of the laboratory examinations, it was determined that the biological samples taken from the suspect S.K. were in complete harmony with the tissues taken from Havva Yıldırım. As a result of the efforts of the JASAT teams, the suspect S.K. was arrested in an operation carried out on March 30. S.K., who was referred to the judicial authorities, was arrested and sent to prison.
