After killing teacher Özgür Ekinci with 8 bullets in Diyarbakır and fleeing abroad, the trail of Ramazan Ağaçhanlı was found in Germany. As a result of an operation conducted by JASAT teams with Interpol and German authorities, the suspect was caught in Frankfurt and brought to Turkey to face justice. It was determined that the murder stemmed from a debt borrowing issue.
Özgür Ekinci, a teacher working in the Çermik district of Diyarbakır, was killed, and the suspect Ramazan Ağaçhanlı, who fled abroad after the incident, was captured in Germany and extradited to Turkey.
THE MURDER'S CAUSE TURNED OUT TO BE A DEBT ISSUE
Under the coordination of the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, within the scope of investigations conducted by the Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Command Public Order Branch Directorate JASAT teams, the trace of the murder suspect was found in Germany.
During the investigation, it was determined that the murder stemmed from a borrowing issue.
CAPTURED IN GERMANY, BROUGHT TO TURKEY
As a result of the efforts to capture the perpetrator, a Red Notice was issued for Ramazan Ağaçhanlı on January 21.
JASAT teams continued their work in coordination with the Interpol/Europol Department and German Interpol units. As a result of the operation, Ağaçhanlı was captured at his hideout in Frankfurt, Germany. The suspect, determined to have killed teacher Özgür Ekinci by firing 8 shots, was brought to Turkey after his procedures.
JASAT teams, who did not give up pursuing the perpetrator, brought the murder suspect to justice and before the court as a result of their coordinated efforts at national and international levels.
