Fenerbahçe has decided to renovate the long-debated Maraton Lower Stand. VIP seats will be removed to increase capacity, and the work will be completed before the new season.

Fenerbahçe Club announced a comprehensive renovation of the Maraton Alt E Tribune, based on feedback from fans and members.

In the club's statement, it was noted that the Maraton Alt E Block, used as a special VIP section, was assessed to disrupt the integrity of the stands and negatively affect the stadium atmosphere.

VIP SEATS WILL BE REMOVED

Within the scope of the planned renovation, approximately 370 VIP seats will be removed and the standard Maraton Alt stand layout will be adopted. After the arrangement, the capacity of the relevant section will reach 670 spectators. Thus, it is aimed to achieve a more integrated structure for the stands.

WORK BEGINS IMMEDIATELY

The Fenerbahçe Board of Directors decided to urgently implement the long-needed arrangement. According to the statement, construction and renovation work will begin on June 12, 2026. The work is planned to be completed before the first official match of the new season.

MANAGEMENT WILL COVER THE COST

The club announced that the entire cost of the renovation work will be covered by the board of directors. Therefore, it was stated that the arrangement will not impose any additional burden on the Fenerbahçe budget.

GOAL: STRONGER STAND ATMOSPHERE

The yellow-navy club emphasized its aim to create a stronger and more holistic stand atmosphere on the path to the championship targeted in its 120th year. Additionally, it was stated that necessary plans will be made to allow current season ticket holders to keep their seats in the same area, and new practices to increase fan support are being evaluated.
