In Istanbul, 18-year-old Oya Budak, who was 5 and a half months pregnant and had been sexually assaulted, was called by her ex-fiancé Samet T. under the pretext of wanting to talk, and he killed her along with her unborn baby. Oya's aunt, Bahriye Şener, tearfully recounted the events, saying, "He said, 'I brought you a very beautiful gift, a surprise.' Then he shot the girl." Meanwhile, the last messages exchanged between the murderer and the young girl have also come to light.

In Sarıyer, 5.5-month pregnant Oya Budak (18) was shot in the chest by her ex-fiancé Samet T. (19). Seriously injured, Budak lost her life along with her baby in the hospital she was taken to. Samet T., who fled the scene in a car, was caught by the Sarıyer Public Order Bureau teams at the home of his uncle Aytekin T. (45) in Bağcılar with the weapon he used in the attack; after his procedures at the police station were completed, Samet T. was referred to the courthouse. Meanwhile, it was revealed that Oya Budak had been sexually assaulted six months ago, which led to her pregnancy and the end of her engagement with Samet T. The person who sexually assaulted Budak has been reported to be arrested.

ENGAGEMENT BROKEN AFTER SEXUAL ASSAULT WAS REVEALED

The incident occurred around 11:30 PM yesterday in Kocataş Neighborhood, where Samet T. and Oya Budak had recently become engaged. However, during this period, an unidentified person sexually assaulted Oya Budak, resulting in her pregnancy. Upon learning this, Samet T. broke off his engagement with Budak.

CALLED HER TO MEET AND OPENED FIRE

Samet T. called Oya Budak to Kılıçpınar Street in Kocataş Neighborhood around 11:00 PM yesterday to talk. Oya Budak went to the meeting with her stepbrother D. C. (13). During a dispute that broke out between the two, Samet T. drew his gun and fired at the 5.5-month pregnant Budak. Oya Budak was seriously injured by bullets that hit her chest and ear, collapsing to the ground in a pool of blood. Samet T. fled in a vehicle with the license plate 34 ES 1380 belonging to his father, while health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon the reports of citizens who heard the gunfire.

DIED WITH HER BABY

Oya Budak was taken to a private hospital in Maslak by ambulance after the first intervention by the health teams that arrived at the scene. Despite being operated on, Budak lost her life along with her baby despite the medical interventions.

SARIYER PUBLIC ORDER POLICE CAUGHT HIM

The Sarıyer Public Order Bureau teams, which launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident, determined that the suspect Samet T. was in Bağcılar. In ongoing operations, Samet T. was caught shortly after the incident at his uncle Aytekin T.'s house in Bağcılar with the unlicensed weapon he used in the incident. Samet T. and his uncle Aytekin T., who assisted him in hiding, were taken to the police station. Meanwhile, it was learned that the person who sexually assaulted Oya Budak about six months ago was arrested and sent to prison.

LAST CONVERSATIONS BEFORE HER DEATH REVEALED

On the other hand, the last conversation Oya Budak had with her fiancé before her death has come to light. In the messages, Samet T. writes that he is waiting for Budak outside.

"HE KILLED HER SAYING I HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU"

Additionally, Budak's aunt Bahriye Şener made statements in tears. Şener said, "My niece used to go out a lot. She met someone, and that person raped her. We didn't know this. I had a baker neighbor from my neighborhood. I have known him for 10 years. I said, 'Let's tie her head to her father. They will take care of her, she won't wander around, nothing bad will happen to her.' After that, we got engaged. They loved each other. They go to the hospital together. She learns she is pregnant at the hospital. The child's family does not accept it. After her family heard about this incident, they did not allow the child. He also wanted Oya. We said, 'Okay, let him go his way, let her go her way.' He says, 'I brought you a very nice gift surprise.' Then he shoots the girl. We hear she is pregnant. We asked, 'Who did this to you? Who harmed you?' That evening, we raided the people's house and caught them. They took her family inside. We don't know them at all. Samet's family hears and does not allow it. He takes her with his brother and takes her to a forest. He shoots her, he bought her a gift. We want justice, our hearts are burning. Enough is enough with these femicides, rapes, they shot the girl," she said.

"SHE WAS ONLY 18, SHE HAD NO FAULT"

Oya Budak's other aunt Aysel Çalıkoparan stated, "According to what Oya told, a boy wrote to her on a social media application saying let's meet. They met, and she talked to this boy for about a month. But this boy was married and was hiding it from Oya, he also had a daughter. He told Oya, 'I will take you to a shop, I will get money from my father.' He took the girl to Kemerburgaz. He raped her in the shop when no one was there. The girl couldn't say anything, she was afraid of us. I wish you had told us Oya, it wouldn't have happened like this. Then we got her engaged. The girl didn't even know she was pregnant. Day by day her belly was getting bigger. She told us, 'I'm not getting sick.' We never suspected she was raped. Then she took Samet and they went to the hospital together and learned she was pregnant. We told my sister, 'Oya is pregnant,' but she said, 'The dates don't match.' This Samet had also been with my niece. In fact, she got pregnant in January. After that, he took this girl, he said 'I accept Oya, but I absolutely do not want the baby. I want to kill the baby.' I told Oya, 'That child is trouble, stay away from him.' But Oya didn't listen, she was an ignorant girl, only 18 years old. I said, 'Look, don't do it, my girl,' but she didn't listen. He tells the girl, 'I have a surprise for you,' and takes her. He killed the girl there. I want justice, my niece's blood should not go unavenged. She was only 18, she was raped. She had no fault at all," she said.
