Mustafa Bozbey, the Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, who was arrested as part of an investigation conducted in Bursa and temporarily suspended from duty by the Ministry of Interior, appeared before the judge in the first hearing of the case.
The images taken while Bozbey was being brought from prison during the hearing held at the Bursa 2nd Heavy Criminal Court caused widespread repercussions in the public.

63 DEFENDANTS ARE BEING TRIED
Within the scope of the indictment prepared by the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a case was filed against 63 defendants, including Bozbey, on various charges such as "establishing and managing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "bribery," "laundering proceeds from crime," and "causing construction pollution." In the case, 37 defendants are being tried under arrest.
UP TO 402 YEARS IN PRISON SOUGHT
In the accepted indictment, a total prison sentence of up to 402 years was sought for Mustafa Bozbey on various charges. Bozbey, however, denies the allegations against him.
