Rezan Epözdemir, the lawyer for the Karabulut family, made a striking statement regarding the grave: "There was no shroud or cloth in Cem Garipoğlu's grave, the bones and skull were scattered, and there was no integrity of the body. Münevver Karabulut was murdered by Cem Garipoğlu on March 3, 2009, in Bahçeşehir. After the incident, Garipoğlu, who had been on the run for a long time, was arrested and found dead in his cell on October 10, 2014.

Police teams took security measures with iron barriers at Karacaahmet Cemetery, where Cem Garipoğlu's grave is located. Garipoğlu's grave was opened after the arrival of the prosecutor and forensic officials. The body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution in a coffin.
