The organized crime leader Ercan Yılmaz, who was wanted with a red notice, and organization member İbrahim Kaymak have been captured. Barış Boyun, who has connections to the criminal organization, brought Yılmaz and Kaymak to Turkey as a result of negotiations initiated with Armenia.
The Ministry of Interior announced that organized crime gang leader Ercan Yılmaz, who was wanted with a red notice, and gang member İbrahim Kaymak have been captured and brought to Turkey as a result of negotiations initiated with Armenia.
ONE HAS BEEN WANTED FOR 15 YEARS, THE OTHER FOR 6 YEARS
In the statement made by the ministry, it was reported that Ercan Yılmaz has been wanted nationally for 15 years with 43 arrest warrants; and internationally for 14 years with a red notice by Interpol. Additionally, it was stated that Yılmaz is the leader of the criminal organization connected to the Barış Boyun criminal group. The statement noted that İbrahim Kaymak has been a wanted criminal for 6 years nationally with 10 arrest warrants; and internationally for 1 year with a Red Notice by Interpol, and that he is a member of the criminal organization.

In the statement, it was said, "As a result of the efforts carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Interpol-Europol Department, the Directorate of Smuggling and Organized Crime, the Intelligence Department, and the Ordu Provincial Police Department; they have been arrested in Armenia for the purpose of their extradition to our country. Under the coordination of our Special Operations Department and Aviation Department; they have been brought to our country today to account for their crimes to Turkish Justice."

In the statement, it was expressed, "We thank the Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia, Mr. Tigran Dadunts, for the cooperation they have shown to our Ministries of Justice and Foreign Affairs, our Interpol-Europol Department, the Directorate of Smuggling and Organized Crime, the Intelligence Departments, and our Ordu Provincial Police Department, which have meticulously carried out the efforts for the extradition of both individuals wanted with a Red Notice to our country. We continue our fight against organized crime groups not only within our borders but also beyond; we will continue to do so. We will keep capturing the urban bandits who take pride in their crimes one by one."
