The Ministry of Interior has launched the "HAYAT 112 EMERGENCY" mobile application, which brings together police, ambulance, fire department, and AFAD services under a single roof. Many critical features such as KADES, school emergency calls, "I am under the rubble" notifications for earthquakes, and "I am safe" messages are now combined in one application. Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that the application will operate with a secure login system via e-Government.
The Ministry of Interior has launched the "HAYAT 112 ACİL" mobile application to enable access to the emergency hotline 112 via mobile phones. Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi explained the details of the application, which started today. Citizens can now make emergency calls from their mobile phones. In addition to first aid, traffic accidents, and police emergency calls, the KADES application used by women in cases of violence has also been integrated into the same application. After an earthquake, a "I am under the rubble" call will be sent to the system, or an "I am safe" emergency call will be transmitted to the person's pre-designated relatives via the mobile application.
112 EMERGENCY CENTER NOW ALSO UNIFIED IN DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT
Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi met with Ankara representatives of media organizations. During the meeting attended by Haberler.com Ankara Representative Şerife Güzel, Minister Çiftçi shared the details of the "HAYAT 112 ACİL" application launched today. Accordingly, the police, traffic, fire department, and emergency aid lines, unified under a single call center within the 112 emergency center, have also been consolidated in the digital environment.
KADES AND SCHOOL EMERGENCY CALLS ALSO ON MOBILE
Minister Çiftçi stated that they have also integrated the KADES application, developed for women to use in cases of violence, into the system, and following the school attacks in Kahramanmaraş and Şanlıurfa, as a result of joint work with the Ministry of National Education, they have added the "School Emergency" line to the mobile application.
Çiftçi said, "All teachers' information was obtained from the MEB. Teachers can use the application only during their working hours at school. Teachers can use the application in emergencies or when there is a security issue. It is an application that will ensure the rapid response of security units."
"LOGIN TO THE APPLICATION VIA E-GOVERNMENT"
Minister Çiftçi stated, "The application will be used securely with e-government information. We consider the information as a digital petition. Therefore, it was designed to be accessed via e-government."
SYSTEM WILL DETECT LOCATION AND REACH THE CITIZEN
According to the information provided by Minister Çiftçi, the mobile application screen will have a "first aid" section. The system will automatically detect the user's location and be able to reach the citizen. Additionally, citizens will be able to take photos and short videos and send them to the system.
MINISTER ÇİFTÇİ'S REQUEST: "DO NOT MAKE FALSE REPORTS"
Minister Çiftçi said, "I implore our citizens. We receive many false reports. Do not encroach on the rights of citizens in urgent need. Please use this consciously."
FIGHTS AND PUBLIC ORDER INCIDENTS CAN ALSO BE REPORTED
The application will also include sections for reporting public order incidents such as fights and theft, as well as drug-related reports. The information of citizens who report drug-related issues will be kept confidential.
The application will also include AFAD's earthquake application. It can be used in cases where communication issues arise due to network overload during an earthquake. Those who download the application will provide 5 phone numbers. Citizens who are safe can send an "I am safe" message, which will be sent as a notification to the mobile phones of the relatives they have specified. With the whistle feature, the application will emit a signal detectable by search and rescue dogs.
Reports regarding stray animals can also be made via the mobile application. Minister Çiftçi announced that 81% of stray animals in 81 provinces have been taken to shelters. "51 provinces have completely collected stray animals. 9 metropolitan municipalities have fully collected them. The process continues in the remaining 21 metropolitan municipalities. Previously, reports could be made by calling 112, now they can be made using the application. Our goal is to make our streets safer," he said.
QUICK ACCESS WITH A "SINGLE BUTTON"
In the application, which allows reporting of traffic accidents, fires, sexual assault, assault, suicide, and other incidents, a "single button" reporting option is also introduced for citizens who have difficulty using mobile phones. Citizens who cannot use the application can press the "emergency" call button located at the bottom of the screen to explain their situation.
The application also allows users to find nearby pharmacies and hospitals on duty.
THIS APPLICATION IS THE BIGGEST GUARANTEE THAT WE ARE NOT SETTING TRAPS
Minister Çiftçi noted that the main purpose in traffic is not to issue fines but to ensure safety, emphasizing that the state does not set traps for citizens. He stated that the inclusion of radar points in the portal is the biggest guarantee that no traps are set. Minister Çiftçi explained, "Now, when you create your route before setting out, you will be able to see the EDS points, fixed radars, and speed corridors on your route with full transparency on your screen. Although we do not give the exact locations of checkpoints for security reasons, we inform you from the start how many traffic controls you will pass along the way. Our only goal here is to encourage you to follow the rules, prevent accidents, and ensure that every one of our citizens reaches their loved ones safely."
