Seventy-year-old Musa Hasahya Kasera, who lives in Mukiza village in Uganda, announced that he has a total of 102 children from his 12 wives. Additionally, Kasera has 578 grandchildren and is struggling to support such a large family.

While many countries around the world struggle with declining birth rates and population issues, a news story from Uganda has made headlines. Musa Hasahya Kasera, who lives in the village of Mukiza in Eastern Uganda, announced that he has a total of 102 children from his 12 wives.

At 70 years old, Musa has so many children that he has started to struggle to remember their names. As a solution, he began keeping a special notebook where he records the names of all his children, and he is currently also a grandfather to 578 grandchildren.

Musa, who has an average of 8-9 children with each wife, is finding it difficult to support such a large family. The family, which struggles with hunger and limited resources, is having a hard time meeting their basic needs.

In a story he shared on social media, Musa recounted that he got married for the first time in 1972 when he was just 17 years old. Over the years, Musa married 12 women, and when the number of children got out of control, he started giving his wives birth control pills.

Musa confessed, "I never thought about how I would support so many children. Over time, the size of the family got out of control." Now, he is struggling to meet the basic needs of this large family.

Local authorities state that Musa's story highlights the need for family planning and education in Uganda. While polygamy is common in the country, having such a large family is a rather rare situation.
